United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs is pleased to offer Fulbright Graduate Student Program for Russian Students. This program supports study for a master’s degree program or research at a U.S. university for up to two academic years.

The Fulbright Program, the U.S. government’s flagship program in international educational exchange, was proposed to the U.S. Congress in 1945 by then freshman Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas.

Applicants must be Russian citizens permanently residing in the Russian Federation who have a university diploma or a bachelor degree. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: This program supports study for a master’s degree or research program at a U.S. university for up to two academic years.

Study Subject: Scholarships are provided in the arts, engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.

Scholarship Award: Grant includes:
–Tuition payment at a university in the United States
-Monthly stipend
-Limited monthly medical insurance
-Roundtrip transportation to the United States

Eligibility: Applicants must possess all of the following qualifications in order to be eligible:
-Citizenship and permanent resident status qualifying the applicant to hold a valid passport issued in the country in which the application is made. Persons applying for or holding permanent residence in the United States are not eligible. Persons who are citizens of both a partner country and the United States are also ineligible. Fulbright Grantees enter the United States on an Exchange Visitor (J-1) visa under a Department of State program and are subject to the two-year home-country residence requirement associated with the J-1 visa.
-Higher education (certified Bachelor or MA degree or Diploma of Specialist) or for those who will graduate in summer 2016 – official confirmation (Spravka) from their university administration certifying applicant’s coming graduation.
-English Language skills enough to study or conduct research in US.
-Date of birth not earlier than May 15, 1986.

**For post-graduate students – Also scan of a document certifying their post-graduate status should be emailed (also only in Russia) besides the diploma copy.
-Personal Data Processing Consent.
