The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) will hold a panel discussion on ‘From Local Cultures to a Global Culture’, 19-22 December 2016, Athens, Greece as part of the 10th Annual International Conference on Global Studies: Business, Economic, Social and Cultural Aspects.

The aim of the panel discussion is to bring together academics and researchers, who are interested in, or who are researching cultural issues within the context of an ever-changing Global world.

You may participate as a presenter of a paper in the panel session, or as chairperson, or as an observer.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment with dinner, a special one-day cruise to selected Greek islands, an archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi. Details of the social program are available here. Accompanying persons pay no registration fee, but only the cost of the activity they want to participate in. Co-authors are not considered to be “accompanying” persons and they pay the registration fee only if they participate in the conference.

If you think that you can contribute, please submit an abstract (email only) to:  atiner@atiner.gr , using the abstract submission form by the 23 May 2016 to: Dr. George Poulos, Vice-President of Research, ATINER & Emeritus Professor, University of South Africa, South Africa. Abstracts should include: Title of Paper, Family Name(s), First Name(s), Institutional Affiliation, Current Position, an email address and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of the submission. Announcement of the decision is made within 4 weeks after submission, which includes information on registration deadlines and paper submission requirements.
